COVID-19 Updates

To transfer your test sitting free of charge:

Following public health guidelines, we are currently taking the following measures to protect test takers:

• We carefully clean all workstations and equipment with disinfecting wipes after each test. This includes cleaning the desk surface, pens, keyboard, mouse, and all parts of the headset, including the microphone.
• Test takers are separated by privacy shields for the duration of the test.
• We are asking test takers who believe they are unwell or at risk due to recent international travel to contact us in advance and reschedule their test for free.
• Test takers who exhibit clear symptoms of illness on test day, or who are being disruptive or unsanitary due to continual coughing, will be dismissed from the test and offered a transfer.
• You are required to wear a face mask for all test sittings on and after May 12, 2020. You will need to remove it temporarily for identification and to take your photo.
• Physical Distancing measures will be in place during SET UP and CHECK-IN
• Physical Distancing measures with reduced number of test takers and staff per sitting
• Additional sanitary measures for wiping down the test lab and equipment
• Requirement to wear personal masks for all test sittings for the entirety of the test on and after May 12, 2020 (will be required to remove it during ID verification)

We encourage everyone to take the following precautions to reduce the risk and spread of infection:

• Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
• Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow, not your hand. Dispose of used tissues immediately.
• Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close personal contact, including handshakes.
• Clean and disinfect anything you touch frequently, like phones and door handles.

To avoid delays caused by increased demand on the postal service, and to protect your health and safety, you can now download an electronic version of your Official CELPIP score report from your CELPIP Account, once your scores are available.

Your Official Online CELPIP score report can be submitted to receiving institutions, such as Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC), and Real Estate Council of British Columbia (REC BC), as proof of your English language proficiency.

You can still order a hardcopy of your Official Score Report online, however, due to reduced hours to reduce the spread of COVID-19, hardcopy Official Score Reports which would have been mailed out after March 19 may be delayed.

If your test sitting has been cancelled, you will receive an email cancellation notice. Please check your spam and junk folders in advance of your test sitting to ensure you did not miss any notifications. We understand that test sitting cancellations can be difficult, so we are currently allowing all test takers to transfer to another test at any available test centre for free. Log in to your CELPIP Account to transfer your test sitting.

If you plan to travel for your test, please be aware of local travel restrictions. Some governments have closed their borders or are requiring visitors to self-isolate for 14 days after arrival. If you are not following local travel restrictions, we reserve the right to refuse entry.
