What is the difference between the
CELPIP - General and CELPIP - General LS?

There are two types of CELPIP tests to choose from. Make sure to confirm which version of the test you are required to take

CELPIP - General Test

$280 + Taxes

Evaluates test taker’s English speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills and is used for permanent residence applications and professional designations.
Single 3 Hour Test Sitting
Takes approximately 3 hours to complete and can be done in one sitting with no separate speaking session
IRCC Approved for PR Status
The CELPIP General Test is the IRCC approved test for Permanent Residence applications
Computer Delivered
Includes features such as a personal timer, word counter, and spell-check
Quick Online Results
Available online in just 4 to 5 calendar days after the test date

CELPIP - General LS Test

$195 + Taxes

Evaluates test taker’s English speaking and listening skills, and is used for citizenship applications and professional designation.
Single 1 Hour Test Sitting
Takes approximately 1 hour to complete and can be done in one sitting with no separate speaking session
IRCC Approved for Citizenship Status
The CELPIP General LS Test is the IRCC approved test for Canadian citizenship applications
Computer Delivered
Includes features such as a personal timer, word counter, and spell-check
Quick Online Results
Available online in just 4 to 5 calendar days after the test date

About George Brown College

 

Staffed by professionals, George Brown College’s CELPIP testing facility is located in Integrated Assessment Centre. It is fully accessible, climate controlled and modern. We run CELPIP tests twice a month on Saturdays and invite you to register early as we fill up.

The main subway stop for St. James Campus is King on the Yonge line. From King station, travel east on King, or take the 504 streetcar east to Jarvis Street, and travel one block east to 200 King Street East.

The testing area is on the second floor in Room 275 in the Integrated Assessment Centre at 200 King Street East.
